Zdenek Stybar was crowned world champion for the second consecutive time on his Ridley X-night. This is the 7th elite world champion title for Ridley Bikes over the last 10 years. Stybar, on his brand new Ridley X-night designed in the Czech colors, dominated the race in St.-Wendel, Germany. He attacked half way through the race and left his competitors behind to arrive solo at the finish line. Kevin Pauwels, team member of Stybar in the Telenet-Fidea team, outsprinted the Frenchman Francis Mourey for the bronze medal behind Sven Nys. Ridley Bikes, market leader in cyclocross, created a brand new design for Stybar specially to compete this world championship. Congratulations and many thanks to Zdenek Stybar !
