Ridley Bikes, famous for their market leading paint designs, are officially launching their custom design website – http://data.ridley-bikes.com/customizer2010/noah2010.html, The customizer website enables Ridley dealers and consumers to construct their own custom design for any carbon Ridley. With a wide range of color options available, almost any color combination can be ordered within the realms of the frame design. According to Marketing Manager Anthony Kumpen: “Thanks to our in-house painting facilities we are the only bicycle brand able to offer this degree of flexibility. Having a medium to custom design your own Noah gives an entirely new level of freedom for consumers to ride the unique Ridley of their dreams.” The website is very user friendly showing an immediate image of the selected colors and their placement on the frame. After selecting a custom set of colors, the consumer can then take a copy of the design to their dealer and place an order. The frames are hand painted one at a time at Ridley’s painting facility in Belgium. To ensure a high quality finish Ridley uses a series of transfers instead of decal stickers. Each custom transfer is applied to the frame in a particular order in each step of the painting process after which it is removed. To minimize the impact on the environment, Ridley use solvent-free water-based liquid paint on all of their carbon frames. The customizer is available on all carbon road, cyclocross and mtb models.
