According to new published UCI World Ranking, Team Katusha's rider Joaquim Rodriguez, recently 4th overall at the Vuelta, became the best rider in the world.
Joaquim Rodriguez took under control the UCI World Individual Ranking, placed 1st with 551 points, ahead of Alberto Contador (482 points) and Luis Leon Sanchez (403 points). With just one race of World calendar in 2010, Giro di Lombardia, Joaquim Rodriguez has a very big chance to end the year as number one in the world.
Team Katusha moved to place 5 with 900 points. The leader in the UCI World Team Ranking is Astana with 986 points. Liquigas-Doimo is second with 946 points and Team Saxo Bank is third with 945 points.
