Norwegian Continental Team Sparebanken Vest – Ridley preform high class results with Swedish Champion in GP La Somme

Competing against several Pro Continental and some Pro Tour Teams, Sparebanken Vest – Ridley continues to do well in the European circuit. GP La Somme, a French kat.1.1 race was organized Friday the 17 sep. 2 riders left after 15 km and the peloton let them have a distance of 10 minutes before reacting after 100 km. Then FDJ and Saur – Sojasun was the teams to head the escaped riders. With 30 km to og the distance was around 2 min. Some cross wind splitted the peleton in 3 pieces. We had Michael Stevenson, Roy Hegreberg and Daniel Jarstø in the first group of 30 riders. 10 km to go Stevenson and Martin Elmiger (Swiss Champion) attacked. They got a lead of 25 sek. 7 km before the finish a new group of 8 riders tried to chased the two first. But they only reduced the lead by 15 sek. 1 km to go they still had 8 sek and the Martin Elmiger AG2R and Stevenson sprinted for the victory.

A very nice result for the team. That shows determination in going for big results.  Sparbankenvest-Ridley team  has 4 victories, 5 second places and 4 third places.
