Christof Maeriën, on a Ridley Ignite Team, has put down an excellent performance in the Australian Outback by winning the toughest MTB race in the world. Christof competed in the M1 category, the one just below the elite. Christof prevailed not only in the GC, but won no less than 5 stages in the race. This resulted in a victory in his category and an 8th place overall, just behind Jaan Kirsipuu.
