Ridley Noah FAST FB integrated brakes has been voted best technical innovative bike by Cyclingnews readers

Cyclingnews the leading website in the bicycle industry, has organized a poll among their readers to find the best tech innovation in de cycling industry. We are very proud to announce 6th place for the Ridley Noah FAST FB integrated brakes. For sure if you look at the full list, you see that most innovations are general innovations within the industry, not really to be claimed by one brand. The Ridley Noah Fast is the only bike or frame on the list.
“The story behind the integrated brakes start with the development of the new Ridley Dean and Ridley Noah”, says Jochem Aerts, CEO of Ridley Bikes. “During wind tunnel tests, we discovered that the brakes caused a lot of turbulence and drag. We also noticed that the frame could be more aerodynamic if we extended the Split fork. That how we came up with the idea to make a fully integrated brake. With this system, we can reduce turbulence around the brake, and lengthen the F-Splitfork from dropout to fork crown.”
“After 3 years of research and development, we succeeded in creating the first brake system that makes you faster. As an extra bonus, this development allowed us to reduce weight, and achieve better breaking power”
The three Fast Technologies (F-Brake, F-Splitfork, and F-Surface) combined, result in the fastest frame in the world: the Ridley Noah Fast.
Anthony Kumpen, commercial director at Ridley Bikes: “We are very happy with our place between the best technical innovations of 2011. We appreciate this even more because it were the readers of Cyclingnews who voted, and those people are the ones who buy our bikes.”
