Uplace Triathlon Team to Ironman Hawaii

The Uplace Team started their countdown to Ironman Hawaii (Kona). With Tine Deckers, Sofie Goos, Bart Aernouts, Bruno Clerbout and Axel Zeebroek, the team will be the biggest pro team in Hawaii.
The sixth team member, Bert Jammaer, won’t be participating for the first time in eight years. “When I go to Kona, I want to perform well. After a very tough IM New York, I’m not in my best form. My next competition is IM Cozumel in November”.
It isn’t easy to qualify for the WC Ironman. Only 30 pro women and 50 pro men can qualify by performing well throughout the year. Together with the winners of the last 5 editions and of the WC 5150 triathlon, this makes a total of 84 participants. This means one out of 17 athletes will ride a bright green Ridley Dean.
The team also launched a special Kona blog with pictures, videos, and other news about the 5 Uplace athletes. Support the Uplace Team and check the blog for more updates: http://www.3athlon.be/index.php/artikels/nieuws/3841-uplace-pro-triathlon-team-start-im-hawai-countdown.
