After an amazingly successful debut season that has seen the team notch up second place at the Pearl Izumi Tour Series, along with multiple podiums, Madison Genesis are delighted to announce that the team will be competing at the prestigious Tour of Britain. This is a very exciting time for the team, as they now prepare to undertake one of the biggest domestic events on the racing calendar.

One of the things that sets the Tour of Britain apart from other domestic races is the inclusion of an individual time trial component. In order to undertake the time trial stage, Madison Genesis have teamed up with Belgian brand, Ridley, who have created a very special version of the Ridley Dean in custom Madison Genesis colours!

The Ridley Dean will be ridden by Madison Genesis during the time trial stage of the Tour of Britain and promises to offer the team a fantastic platform from which to launch an assault on the peloton.

Unlike other TT bikes that require fancy add-ons or sneaky solutions to trick UCI rules, the Dean is built on the simple concept of aerodynamic efficiency. Every square millimetre of the Dean is designed to reduce energy-sapping drag : The F-Splitfork reduces drag by 7.5% by drawing turbulent air away from the spokes, whilst F S-Surface paint technology reduces drag by 4.1% by increasing laminar flow.

"I'm so pleased that Ridley have teamed up with Madison Genesis for the Tour of Britain. Ridley have been pushing the performance boundaries of their bikes ever since I used their bikes early on in my own career. To be able to use the Dean, a bike very renowned for being at the cutting edge in terms of its aerodynamics and performance in time trial bikes, will definitely make the riders confident they have, once again, the best equipment in the world at their disposal." Team Manager - Roger Hammond
The Tour of Britain starts on the 15th September in Peebles, with Stage Three in Knowsley playing host to the individual time trial before reaching a thrilling climax in London on the 22nd September.
