Tom Meeusen has won the GP Albert Van Damme. In Laarne, he beat Rob Peeters in the sprint.

Before the start of the race, there was a moment of silence in honour of Amy Dombroski. Her Telenet-Fidea teammates were very motivated and started aggresively. Rob Peeters accelerated, only Tom Meeusen and Klaas Vantornout were able to follow. In the 4th lap, the chain of Vantornout blocked and he had to let the Telenet-Fidea riders go.

Both riders worked together very well to secure their lead. 2 laps from the finish the gap was big enough. This was the sign for Meeusen and Peeters to go for the victory. The teammates provided an exciting final. Both riders attacked, but were unable to drop the other. The race was going to be decided in the sprint. Peeters used up all his power, and Meeusen sprinted to victory. Vantornout completed the Ridley X-Night podium.
