Quality control is a primary focus in production. Frames are
tested both internally and by a third party. Our bikes routinely
pass tests more than twice as hard as the failing point of competitors’
frames.
Wind
tunnel testing
Ridley performs aerodynamic tests both in computer-aided design
as well as at the local wind tunnel in Brussels.
Collaborating with ProTour team Predictor-Lotto, tests are run both
to improve rider position for time trials, and also to test product
prototypes to maximize efficiency in the wind. Professional
racing
Products are raced at the highest level, in the ProTour with the
Belgian team Predictor-Lotto. Now with over 100 victories
and counting, the team provides continuous testing and input, leading
to further refinements and improvement. As with road,
Ridley cyclocross bikes have been developed very closely with top
elite professionals, and changes in frame design represent
evolution of world cup cyclocross racing. It’s no coincidence
that 4 of the last 6 world champions have ridden on Ridley bicycles.
