Greipel takes one stage in the Eneco Tour

André Greipel won the fourth stage of the Eneco Tour. In his red Lotto points classification jersey he outsprinted Nizzolo and Boom. The final 6km was disrupted by a crash and several riders were left behind. Lotto Belisol wasn't involved in the crash and the team helped Greipel to the victory with a perfect lead out.

André Greipel: " We've tried three times and now we finally did it. We proved with the whole team that we really have a perfect lead out. My team mates prepared the sprint in every detail and it's thanks to them I won. I felt some pressure to win today because we didn't succeed in the previous stages. Now that I've won a stage in this Eneco Tour I'm of course very happy

Although Lotto-Belisol won one stage in the Eneco Tour and came very close to winning the points classification, sports director Herman Frison was not entirely happy.

Herman Frison: “We won one stage, even in a superior way, but we aimed for more: we came to the Eneco Tour to get a good GC and to win one or two stages. Our Eneco Tour was good, but not good enough. Of Greipel we already knew he was a strong rider. He set a great performance today, unfortunately it yielded him and us not much. André loses the points jersey with one point and that's a pity.”
