New top tube packs keep nutrition and tools within easy reach

  • News
During a long training ride, a bikepacking adventure or a race, having some extra storage space can make all the difference. That’s why Ridley introduces two new top tube packs: a Large Top Tube Pack and a Short Top Tube Pack. Both packs are designed around the specific shapes of Ridley frames, offering extra space for nutrition, tools and other essentials you want to keep within easy reach while riding.

A top tube pack is one of the most practical ways to carry extra gear on your bike. Its position on the top tube allows you to quickly access energy bars, gels, a mini pump, CO₂ cartridge or small tools while riding. Especially during long rides and races, this is a major advantage: there’s no need to search through your jersey pockets or interrupt your ride to get to your gear.

The two Ridley top tube packs are therefore not only designed for bikepacking. They are also a practical solution for road cyclists who want to carry extra nutrition and equipment during a long race or granfondo. Thanks to their smart position, your most important essentials are literally always within reach.

Two sizes, one purpose

With dimensions of 42 x 4.5 x 9.5 cm, the Large Top Tube Pack offers the most storage capacity. It is ideal for longer rides and bikepacking, but also comes in handy during races when you need to carry extra nutrition, tools and other essentials. Thanks to a removable divider, the available space can be split into two compartments, making it easy to keep the contents organised.

Inside, there is also a small zipped pocket for valuables or smaller items. Elastic loops keep, for example, a pump or tools securely in place, preventing them from moving around inside the pack. Stretch pockets on both sides provide additional storage for lighter items or, for example, packaging you want to store after eating on the go.

Measuring 20 x 4.5 x 7.5 cm, the Short Top Tube Pack is more compact and therefore ideal for riders who need a little less storage space. It offers enough room for the essentials, such as nutrition, a multitool or other small items. Here too, elastic loops keep loose items securely in place.

Designed for Ridley

Both packs have been specifically designed around the geometry of Ridley bikes. Their narrow shape follows the lines of the top tube, ensuring that the pack stays out of the way while pedalling. Reinforced sides help the pack retain its shape, both when full and when empty, preventing it from bulging or collapsing.

The Large Top Tube Pack is secured at the front with a mounting bolt and additionally attached to the frame using rubberised straps. The Short Top Tube Pack uses two mounting bolts and an internal reinforcement plate for a secure fit. For both models, a spacer is recommended between the frame and the pack for optimal fitment.

Ready for the elements

You can’t always plan a ride around the weather. That’s why both top tube packs are made from water-resistant fabric and feature a water-resistant zipper. Reflective Ridley logos also provide an extra touch of visibility when conditions become less than ideal.

The packs fit all sizes of Ridley models equipped with top tube mounting points, including the Kanzo Adventure, Kanzo Adventure A, Grifn, Grifn RS, Grifn A, ASTR, ASTR RS, ASTR A, E-ASTR, Kanzo Fast 2.0, Triton, Triton Fast and Yungster.

Whether you’re planning a multi-day bikepacking adventure, heading out for a long training ride or simply want to keep extra nutrition and tools within easy reach during a race, the new Ridley Top Tube Packs add extra carrying capacity without compromising comfort or functionality.
