Two unforgettable days in yellow – bring Torstein Træen's bike into your own home
For two days, Ridley was on cloud nine. Uno-X Mobility rider Torstein Træen wore the yellow jersey after stage four of the Tour de France. Despite crashing in the finale of stage five, he managed to hold onto the jersey for one more day, but the dream came to an end during the demanding Pyrenees stage. Until the end of the Tour, you can bring a piece of this story into your own home. The Noah Fast in the yellow jersey design has been added to the configurator and can be selected at no additional cost.
We had to pinch ourselves as we followed the stage from Carcassonne to Foix from our headquarters in Beringen. As the race unfolded, it became clear that Torstein Træen was in contention for the yellow leader's jersey. He first claimed cycling's most iconic jersey virtually before securing it officially. A day later, there was a moment of panic when he crashed in the closing kilometres on the way to Pau, but he managed to limit the damage and earned himself another day in yellow through France.
Within the team, everyone believed it would be possible to survive the Pyrenees, but they hadn't counted on one Tadej Pogačar. He rode away from everyone, and only ten riders managed to stay within the targeted eight-minute gap. For Træen, the yellow jersey was already out of reach, and to make matters worse, he suffered a heavy crash on the descent of the Tourmalet. Showing great determination, he still made it to the finish, but medical examinations later revealed a fractured rib, forcing him to abandon the race.

A yellow bike
At Ridley, we shifted into top gear on Tuesday afternoon to celebrate the yellow jersey. For this special project, our paint shop welcomed a very special guest. CEO and founder Jochim Aerts once again picked up the spray gun himself. Long before Ridley became an international bicycle brand, his story began in his parents' garage, where he built and painted frames by hand. For this Noah Fast, he wanted to experience that craftsmanship once more. He personally applied the iconic Tour yellow paint, creating a fitting tribute both to Torstein's achievement and to the company's roots. The bike was then flown to southern France.
For Thursday's stage, the team chose to race on an ultra-light prototype of our climbing bike rather than the yellow Noah Fast. Every second could prove decisive, and in a mountain stage, a lightweight bike offers a clear advantage. Unfortunately, the Slovenian phenomenon in the rainbow jersey had other plans, but it didn't take long for us to realise that these had been two unforgettable days. For the first time since 2014 (Tony Gallopin), we were able to experience the dream of wearing yellow once again.
