Daan Soete and Nicole Frain deliver double victory for Ridley Racing Team at Sea Otter Europe
Sea Otter Europe turned into a true highlight for Ridley! With victories by Daan Soete and Nicole Frain, the Ridley Racing Team achieved a perfect scorecard in Catalonia. The wins were, of course, secured on the ASTR RS. This winning gravel performance bike was also showcased afterwards at the Ridley booth during the bike show. Unsurprisingly, the Spanish public showed great interest in this showpiece.
Sea Otter Europe is a true classic in the gravel circuit, attracting many top riders to Girona. Soete had to face, among others, French road champion Dorian Godon, his teammate Stan Dewulf, French star Romain Bardet, and gravel specialist Petr Vakoč. After more than 100 kilometers, the race came down to a duel between Soete and Godon. Following a strong finale, the Belgian rider from Ridley Racing Team claimed victory.

Nicole on fire!
After her victory in Houffa Gravel and a second place in 66 Degrés Sud, Nicole Frain headed to Catalonia with great confidence. She impressed on the hilly terrain and launched an attack together with Esmée Peperkamp. Eventually, no one could withstand her relentless pace. Closest chaser Emile Morier finished just under six minutes behind. With this victory, Nicole secured the overall title and capped off a successful season.
Strong visibility
Alongside the race, the Sea Otter Bike Show also took place in Girona. The Ridley Racing Team’s ASTR RS was on display there. Thanks to the victories of Daan and Nicole, there was significant attention for the winning bike. Ambassador Felipe Orts also took time to meet fans and sign autographs. Under the Catalan sun, it turned out to be a fantastic weekend for the entire Ridley family. This success once again underlines Ridley’s role as a leading player in the international gravel scene.
