Tobias Halland Johannessen proves the value of the FALCN RS as the ultimate climbing bike
UNO-X is having an incredible Tour de France. With a stage win by Jonas Abrahamsen, it’s already a historic edition for the team — but the Norwegians are hungry for more. In particular, Tobias Halland Johannessen is making a name for himself in the mountains. He’s able to stay with the very best and dreams of becoming the highest-placed Norwegian ever in the final general classification. He’s doing all of it on a raw, unpainted FALCN RS — our ultimate climbing machine!
Back in 1980, Jostein Wilmann rode to an impressive 14th place overall in the Tour, a record that still stands as the best GC result ever by a Norwegian. Tobias Halland Johannessen hopes to change that. Ever since winning the prestigious Tour de l’Avenir in 2021, he’s dreamed of a standout performance in La Grande Boucle. This year, everything is coming together for the talented rider. He already placed 11th in Tirreno-Adriatico and 5th in the Critérium du Dauphiné, and he arrived in France with healthy ambition — alongside his twin brother Anders.

FALCN RS
In the Tour, Tobias is steadily building toward a strong final result. After staying sharp in the first echelon stage, he made it safely through the treacherous opening week. On the iconic Mûr-de-Bretagne, he gave a first glimpse of his climbing form by riding to a 10th place. But the best was yet to come. On the legendary Hautacam climb, Tobias finished 4th among the world’s elite. Two days later, he launched an attack as the best-placed rider on the road toward Luchon-Superbagnères, finishing 9th. At the second rest day, he now sits in 8th overall.
All of these impressive climbing performances have come aboard the FALCN RS. Tobias opted for a raw, unpainted version in pure carbon color. The biggest asset of the FALCN RS is its ultralight 825-gram frame. On mountainous terrain, the aero-to-weight FALCN RS becomes a worthy alternative to the aero-to-aero Noah Fast. In fact, the FALCN RS outperforms from speeds of 20 km/h and up on gradients of 7% or steeper. The higher the speed, the steeper the climb needs to be for the FALCN RS to outperform its sibling — but when it does, it shines. That’s why Tobias opts for the FALCN RS in the toughest mountain stages.
