Second day, second victory for André Greipel and the Noah SL

André Greipel wins second stage at the Baloise Belgium Tour
German Lotto Soudal sprinter André Greipel has won the second stage of the Baloise Belgium Tour, after he did the same job yesterday in the bunch sprint. He was again the fasted of the whole peloton and will keep the leader's jersey around his shoulders in time trial of tomorrow.

On the second day of the Baloise Belgium Tour, there was a planned sprint stage on the menu. The riders had to overcome 162km’s between Lochristi and Knokke-Heist. The Boulevard of Knokke formed the ideal scenery for a fast sprint.

The German sprinter saw in this stage an excellent opportunity to add a second victory to his Baloise Belgium Tour campaign. Just like yesterday, the final was hectic and fast, let this be two of the preferred factors for Greipel. The Lotto Soudal team managed to keep the leader of the general classification in front during the day. This resulted in the fact that they had to sacrifice some guys in André’s sprint train.

A super strong Jasper De Buyst started early with the sprint, taking Greipel in his slipstream. In this way he took the hot chestnut out of the fire for his team. Despite a slipping rear wheel in the last corner due to air loss, Greipel managed to ride the fastest sprint of the bunch and added a second victory for the Noah SL during this Baloise Belgium Tour.
