Greipel shows his fast legs during the first stage of the Baloise Belgium Tour

Pushing his Noah SL to its limits to secure the first spot
After winning 2 stages at the 4 Jours de Dunkerque, Greipel shows again his fast legs during the first stage of the Baloise Belgium Tour.  Keeping his Noah SL past Minali and Merlier to claim the first spot.

The final phase was colored by a few attacks of riders such as Diether Sweeck and Daan Soete, but the bunch sprint was unavoidable. A strong Lotto Soudal team conducted the sprint of this first stage. Greipel could count on a couple of strong teammates to keep him in front during the hectic final. In the last 500m a hard crash marred the sprint. But this couldn’t stop the Greipel train. Jasper De Buyst took the German in his wheel and rode the perfect lead-out. Greipel pushed his Noah SL to its limits and he was able to point his finger in the air.

The Lotto Soudal sprinter takes the victory, but also the first leader’s jersey. With this win Greipel shows that he's getting in shape for the upcoming Tour de France.
