Ridley will launch a new line in her moutainbike range in 2018: the Sablo.
The development of the Sablo relies on the cyclocross DNA and the extensive Gravel experience that Ridley has gained over the years.
“We are very proud of the possibility to launch the new Sablo”, says Martin Schuttert, MTB Product Manager of Ridley. “We developed a light and easy to control bike, made for modern offroad cycling in very tough conditions with a focus on performance and sustainability.”
“We are a Belgian brand with a legendary history in cyclocross, so it was very important to allow for aspects like precise control, smooth bend work and a low weight”, says Morten Kristiansen, Head of Product and Marketing. “Our customers appreciate sustainability and ongoing performance. To ensure this, we co-operated with Enduro Bearings and Fox Factory Racing. Together, we created the unique suspension setup”, continues Kristiansen.
The rear shock absorber is especially designed by Fox Factory Racing. Enduro Bearings ensures full contact, dual lip seal bearings through the suspension. The Sablo is equipped with BOOST-axles with 15mm (front) and 12mm (rear) dimensions. The bike has a hidden cable for the dropper seatpost.
The Sable is available in three colour combo’s: Black-Gold (matte/glossy combination), Green-Orange (matte) and Black-Red (glossy). The Sablo Black-Gold is a Limited Edition with SRAM XX1 Eagle. The other bikes have SRAM X01 Eagle or Shimano XT 2×11.
The Sablo is available by our official Ridley dealers from October 2017. You can find a dealer with the “Find a dealer” button in the menu.
