Marlux-Bingoal

Belgium-based Marlux-Bingoal is one of the top professional cyclocross teams in the world. Former U23 Cyclocross World Champion, 24-year-old Michael Vanthourenhout, leads the team at the elite men’s level. In only his second year racing with the cyclocross elites, he scored an impressive 4th at both the first (USA) World Cup and at European Championships. Last year, in his first season in the elite category he landed on the podium at the prestigious GP Sven Nys, known as one of the hardest most challenging courses on the circuit. He’s also known for his technical prowess, hopping his X-Night over just about any barrier he comes up against.

Dominating the U23 men’s category is 20-year-old teammate Eli Iserbyt. He went straight from winning the Junior World Championship to dominating the U23 Worlds the very next season. He is the current European Champion.

Other top elite riders include Kevin Pauwels and two-time Belgian Champion Klaas Vantornout who rode to a fine 4th place at the 2017 Superprestige Gavere.

Representing the team in the women’s field are former mountainbiker Alicia Frank and breakout talent Laura Verdonschot. Last season, at only 20 years of age, Verdonschot scored a professional contract with the team after an impressive battle for the Elite Belgium National Title against World Champion Sanne Cant. She lost the fight on the day but earned herself the U23 National Title for the second year in a row. She is current U23 European vice-champion.

All riders are armed with the Ridley X-Night SL Disc bikes.
