De Gendt and Koster win

Bringing victory count up to 6 in 3 days
With Thomas De Gendt winning stage 19 at La Vuelta and Anouska Koster winning the last stage and the GC at Lotto Belgium Tour Ridley’s victories count up to 6 in 3 days of racing. Every Vuelta win remarkably was ridden on a Helium SLX.

The Vuelta had delivered a lot of victories in the last few days. It all started with the mindblowing win of Aqua Blue’s Stefan Denifl at Los Machucos. This was succeeded by Sander Armée winning yesterday’s stage. Today Thomas De Gendt surprised himself by winning the sprint of a selected group at the finish line. The all-day attacker escaped from the peloton with 27 other like-minded riders. The hilly track resulted in several split-ups of the group, but after all De Gendt managed to stay in the front of the race. In the end 9 riders were battling for the win and the Belgian rode the sprint of his life. With this win he achieved victories in all three grand tours! With two other stage wins of Tomasz Marczyński the Vuelta has been a big success for Ridley Bikes.

Every Vuelta victory by the way has been ridden on a Helium SLX.

On the female side Marianne Vos earlier this week won a stage at Lotto Belgium Tour. Subsequently Anouska Koster rode a very strong last stage in Geraardsbergen. She already went in the early breakaway, but when the race favorites closed the gap she reacted to attacks of Coryn Rivera and afterwards of Ruth Winder. With that last rider she went to the finish line and the Dutch talent defeated the American in the sprint. On top of that the gap with race leader Jolien D’Hoore was big enough to win the general classification as well.
