Cozy Spring Evening with the Ridley Racing Team Riders
On Wednesday evening, the riders of the Ridley Racing Team came to Bike Valley for a relaxed social ride with our loyal cycling fans. During an enjoyable 60-kilometer ride, we explored several sections of the Belgian Gravel Championship course in Westerlo and took a moment to look ahead to UNBOUND. Around fifty people showed up.
This second social ride of the year was centered around the Ridley Racing Team. Joris Nieuwenhuis, who impressively finished second at Marly Grav last weekend, combined his visit with some testing in the Aero Performance Lab. Daan Soete had recovered from illness and came along with Violette Neza and Lore Sas from the Kempen region. Aaron Van der Beken also joined the ride.

On to Unbound
Under a glorious spring sun, the route passed over familiar gravel sections like Lange Heidestraat and Boshuis. With a stop at the Abbey of Averbode, even the culture lovers were taken into account. Midway, we reached the Grote Nete, and at the Kaaibeek Bridge, we took the inevitable group photo. After that, we made a brisk return to the factory in Beringen. Over drinks and snacks, we lingered for a chat as the riders shared their thoughts on the world’s biggest gravel event: UNBOUND.
It was a real pleasure to wish the riders the best of luck in Kansas together with our community!
