Torstein Træen is currently wearing the yellow jersey at the Tour de France, but the Norwegian has already overcome his share of adversity. In 2022, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Fortunately, doctors caught the disease at an early stage, allowing him to make a full recovery. Because so many people are still fighting this devastating illness, we've decided to dedicate a replica of his yellow Noah Fast to a good cause. You can win it through Vive le Vélo. Remarkably, the disease was discovered during a doping control in 2022. Træen returned a positive test, and the doctor told him that either he had used doping or he was seriously ill. Thankfully, it turned out to be the latter. At the same time, that diagnosis also saved his life, as doctors were able to detect the disease early and successfully remove the affected testicle with a small tumour. Later that same year, he returned to professional racing.
