Yellow summer on the Noah Fast continues at the Tour de France Femmes
Haugset quickly sensed that the hilly stage from Geneva to Poligny would favour the attackers. She joined the early breakaway before deciding, with just under 100 kilometres remaining, to leave her fellow escapees behind. What followed was a remarkable display of strength. Kilometre after kilometre, the Norwegian champion held firm while, behind her, Lotte Kopecky and the group of favourites tried to close the gap. Even as fatigue became visible in the final kilometres, Haugset found the strength to defend her advantage, keep the former Belgian world champion at bay and cross the finish line solo. The victory was not only the greatest of her career, but also earned her the yellow jersey at the Tour de France Femmes. She became the first woman to win a Tour stage on a Ridley bike and the first to wear the race leader's yellow jersey aboard a Ridley.
For the Ridley and Uno-X partnership, the victory carried even greater significance. Earlier this summer, Torstein Træen had already made history by claiming the yellow jersey in the men's Tour de France. Less than a month later, Haugset wrote another chapter of history on exactly the same bike. Once again, the Ridley Noah Fast proved itself at the very highest level. The achievement became even more remarkable as Søren Wærenskjold, just like Jonas Abrahamsen in 2025, also claimed a Tour stage victory aboard our aero road bike.
A lasting memory
Unfortunately, Haugset's time in yellow lasted just one day. In the individual time trial to Dijon, she faced the enormous challenge of defending the race lead. After the tremendous effort she had produced in the Jura, there simply wasn't enough left in the legs to keep hold of the yellow jersey. Yet that takes nothing away from what this summer represented. Thanks to the yellow jerseys of Torstein Træen and Sigrid Ytterhus Haugset, 2026 will forever be remembered as Ridley's Summer in Yellow. Memories for a lifetime.
