The New Ridley Noah Fast 3.0 is Ridiculously Aero, But Should You Buy It?
A quick review of the striking Ridley Noah Fast 3 aero bike. Radical looks, radical performance?
We develop our bikes in consultation with the professional cyclists of Uno-X Mobility. They provide feedback during the development process so that we can further optimize our bikes. For us, the quality label that the bikes are tested and approved by the professionals at the highest level is essential. The result of this collaboration? Victory in the Omloop Nieuwsblad and the team’s very first stage win in the Tour in 2025.
The Nimbus Aero cockpit follows the trend in the peloton towards narrower handlebars (360 center-center) with flared drops (400 center-center). The top of the handlebar has a slight backsweep for an ergonomic position. The drops of the handlebar allow a aero position of the shifters, while being UCI compliant.
The Nimbus Aero cockpit was specifically developed for this new model and was an integral part of the frame's development process
A steeper seat angle aligns with the changing preference of riders towards a position with an open hip angle for a better power transfer.
A lowered bottom bracket compensates for the wider tires used in modern cycling.
Finally, the lower head tube with integrated cockpit allows the rider to have a more aggressive aero position, resulting in a reduced frontal area.
The new Noah Fast has been fully developed based on the latest UCI regulations regarding tube shapes and profiles. The main difference is the use of the 8:1 rule, which allows tubes to be eight times longer than their width, whereas previously it was 3:1. The result is long, narrow profiles in the fork and seat stays.
The universal derailleur hanger (UDH) is the new standard in the cycling world. Not only is this derailleur hanger compatible with all modern shifting groups, it also protects against derailleur breakage and chain drops. In mountain biking, UDH has long been very common, and Ridley is bringing the technology to other segments as well.
Our innovative removable front derailleur clamp ensures a sleek, streamlined appearance when using a 1x setup. In collaboration with Wolf Tooth, we’ve developed a custom chainguide and chain catcher perfectly tailored to fit our frames. To maintain a clean and polished look, we’ve also designed a specialized cover to seamlessly replace the clamp when it’s not in use.
The new Noah Fast is not merely a lightning-fast bike but a 100% ‘performance package’ that approaches cycling from a 360-degree perspective. Every aspect of the bike is adapted to modern cycling. The cockpit dimensions and frame geometry are tailored to the expectations of professional riders. The tire clearance of 34mm will allow even use the Noah Fast on rough terrain like Paris-Roubaix. The developers carried out all simulations with the bike as a whole. That means: including wheels, water bottles, bike computer, and all other essentials. They did these tests under difference wind angles to simulate the performance in the real world . After all, this is how riders actually use the Noah Fast.
Belgian quality, local service, international prestige. That’s Ridley. We provide you with only the best possible service. That’s why we work very closely with local dealers, each an expert near you.

How can we help?
The integrated seatpost clamp (Ridley article code SPCAER4ZA007) is designed for the aero seatpost of the Noah Fast and Noah.
We have developped a specific aero integrated cockpit for the Noah Fast. The cockpit has different stem lengths and a width at the shifters of 360mm center-center and 400mm center-center in the drops for an optimised aero position. To find your perfect position we introduce also 3 different stem stack options (55, 75 and 100mm). This allows you to ride with less or without stemspacers and find your perfect position on the bike.
The Noah Fast / Noah uses a progressive performance geometry. This means we use a steeper seat tube angle to have a more central position on the bike. To find your frame size, you should compare the actual toptube length of your current bike and compare it with the Noah (Fast) instead of using the "reach" number in the geometry chart. For a detailed bike fit, we advice to contact your local dealer.
The maximum torque to fix the seatpost clamp is 10Nm, like mentionned on the clamp
The frame uses a 1 1/8" upper bearing (IS42/28.6 45°/45°) and 1 1/2" lower bearing (IS52/40 45°/45°)
The tire cleance of the Falcn RS is 34mm, actual width. This means the actual width of the tire on the rim. This can be different from the size mentionned on the tire.
No the frame is only compatible with electronic groupsets of Shimano and Sram.
We use a BB86 press-fit bottom bracket standard on the Fenix SLiC, Fenix Disc, Kanzo Adventure, Kanzo Fast, Grifn, Falcn RS, Falcn, Noah Fast and Noah
The uses the SRAM Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH). This means you will find easily a replacement hanger wherever you are as it is a standardised hanger (Ridley article code HANUDHSRA001)
The frame needs a 12mm TA with a thread of 1mm (Ridley article code QRET124ZA046)
We have added a rotation stopper in frame bearing cover interface. This rotation stopper will protect your frame from the impact of the cockpit in case of a crash.
The Noah (Fast) has a steeper seattube angle of 75° in size M, compared to 73° on the previous Noah (Fast). This steeper seattube angle follows the latest trend we see in profesionnal cycling where riders want to ride in a more forward position on the bike, closer to the bottom bracket. This position allows the rider to push in a more efficient way on the pedals by a more open hip angle. From a geometry perspective, we have kept the actual top tube length the same, compared to the previous Noah so the distance between the saddle and cockpit remains the same.
The Noah (Fast) has a steeper seat tube angle (75° in size M vs 73°) compared to the previous Noah (Fast), but the same actual top tube length. The result of this steeper seat tube angle is that the reach number will increase as a bigger part of the actual top tube length will be in front of the bottombracket and a smaller part behind the bottom bracket. When comparing the sizing of the Noah (Fast) to other bikes, use the actual top tube length as a reference number to define your frame size.
With the development of the Nimbus Aero cockpit, we have introduced 2 new definitions for measuring our cockpits:
The new cockpit definitions of stem stack and stem reach will help you to find the perfect position on the bike.
